2025 Bake Off

The Rules:

- The theme for this year is: Wake and Flake!

- Each baker can bake whatever they want, with one simple rule: The bake they bring must use puff pastry.

- Bakers can use whatever other ingredients and bake whatever style of food they desire. Sweet or savory.

- Each baker or baking team must make 1 entry that can be sampled by everyone attending.

- This year we will set up a buffet style spread, where anyone can try the bakes in any order. Feel free to add a nameplate, or short description to be displayed with your bake.

- Please note: any use of Chicken or poultry is NOT ALLOWED.

Judging

    - All participants will vote for their top three favorite bakes. 1st receives 3 points, 2nd 2 points, and 3rd 1 point

    - Judging will be based on taste, enjoyability, and presentation. 

    - Additionally, 1 extra point can be awarded to any bake for best presentation.

    - This year, each voter can also award an extra 1 point to what they consider the flakiest, best puff pastry. This is entirely up to the voter and does not have to take the rest of the bake into consideration.

- The winner will be decided by the baker who receives the most points at the end of judging.

- In the event of a tie:

    - The rest of the bakers will vote in a tie breaker round and award a single point to their preferred bake, the count back will only include these votes. 

    - If still tied, the baker with the most points awarded from presentation will win the tie break.

- As always, the winner will receive the title of bake-off champion, and will be allowed to sign the trophy, as well as take it home and display it (or not) in any way they wish. All that is asked is that you bring it back the following year.
